so last saturday this show happened.  i didnt really publicize it due to the unique nature of the event, but it went really well, and looks great. there are some really great artists in the show, including steve kim, who i went to school with and is all around a nice dude.  if you want to go check it out you have to make an appointment.

commercial work

ive just started a new blog that is housing a lot of the commercial and commercialish work that ive done and am allowed to show.   as ive been spending more time working on my own paintings, the two have started to drift apart and its making more sense to have a separate place to view illustration work and my personal paintings.  trying to keep them bound together in my mind or on a website has ceased to be helpful in any way. 

so, here it is drew beckmeyer illustration. if you frequent this blog, there is nothing there that you havent yet seen, and this one will stay the place where i show anything new. but,  should you want to see what i do for clients, the link will be on the side.

because of the somewhat unorthodox nature of the show, only a limited number of people can come and it is by rsvp only.  i think i can probably invite a few more people, so if you want to come, and preferably if you are interested in buying/writing something positive about the show, email me and ill get you the invitation and address… first  come first served.
