this is what i did with the drawing in the last post.
in other only personally exciting news, im working on a fillmore poster. ill be on the contributors page of nuvo. and 4 pieces were accepted into the next american illustration annual, which comes out next year.
also, the show is in one month. almost exactly. say youll come. thank you.
im working real hard on stuff for this project room show on may 17th at tinlark. ill be showing more work in one location than i ever have, so heres to hoping its good. its titled, REAL DEEP THOUGHTS. there is a lot of new stuff that im forbidding myself from posting until closer to the show. i hope everyone will consider coming out.
in more immediate news, i just did this illustration for Nuvo magazine, which is a really beautiful canadian magazine. Sandra Zarkovic was, and has been really wonderful to work with. this is about politicians becoming celebrity-like in current trends. if you know me, you know im not a fan of politics, so it was a priority to have this not be boring.
im going to do a bit of unself promotion here now, because i dont think that jason will do it for himself. my friend, jason redwood has entered the internet. red blooded and slightly unwilling. his new paintings are really really amazing. he takes such gigantic strides forward it frightens me to think how good his stuff is going to be in 5 or 10 years. no joke and no preferential treatment. i want to keep him posting so i can see his stuff more often. ive added a link to his blog . please frequent it so he wont wuss out.
