hi.
just a reminder regarding tiny showcase. my print goes on sale october 30th, which is a couple of days away. i think its going to be 25 or 30 dollars and some of the money goes to charity. from every angle, its a good thing to do.
so if you like the image below, and you want a small, archival, frameable, flammable, limited edition copy for yourself, you now know where to throw your dollar bills.

my friend jessika asked me to do this portrait project with her for the portrait party. we traded pictures and this is my portrait of her. it kind of came at an opportune time when i was really questioning the reasons for which i havent painted with any attempt at realism in some time. i didnt figure out any answers, but it was a nice change and a good exercise.
im not sure when its gonna go up on the portrait party site, but im excited to see her version of me, as she is a super talented painter.

oh and also, ive recently started enjoying having a blog.

after several months of relatively no editorial work, i was happy to find myself this last week with two jobs. im not sure exactly how i feel about the final products, but ill put them up here anyways. i get kind of spoiled when i just draw what i want all the time… maybe spoiled isnt the right word, but im starting to understand just how different the two things are.
first up, this is for nuvo magazine. its in regard to a story about a polar safari.

second is a tiny spot for espn magazine. kind of a short article on famous steroid cities in the US.

how is everyone? good i hope, or at least getting there.
if you have looked at this blog ever, you know we had another show. and chances are if you have ever looked at this blog, you are a friend of mine and were at the previously mentioned show.
on that note, im so thankful to everyone who showed up and i wish i could give you all presents, or cake, or something. i know its not the most fun thing to look for parking 6 blocks away, only to be crammed into a tiny room with no air conditioning. and the old faces that showed up, youve been missed greatly, and im the one doing the missing.
so here is a picture which kinda gives a general idea. i have some pictures of kate and brians stuff as well, but im getting sleepy. BUT, i know kate and brian, ive been massively inspired by them for years now, and i have no problem saying that both of them really outshined their previous work in this show. i hope you can make it over. its up till early november.

alright then. i woke up this morning with news in my mailbox, and though im not sure how much of it is actually true, or going to come true, im not going to let it stop me from talking about it.
first, fecalface was nice enough to put a little thing up about our show. and i love fecal face so thats exciting.
secondly, i think ill be sending some merchandise tocinders in new york. another pretty awesome venue… maybe venue isnt the right word, but they do great stuff.
the third part is the most intriguing part, and yet the most up in the air part. for now all im gonna say is that it involves a show in philadelphia early next year. the other artists are so great that it almost makes me think someone is yanking me around by letting me think i get to be a part of it. im talking brilliant brilliant people. justin b williams is organizing it, and if you dont know how amazing he is, click that link.

saturday. youre coming. right? right.
